Chanter defy the odds
Epworth based chanter Tawanda “Q Shine” Gunda says he is prepared to change the area’s set up as the the high density has been associated with criminal activities.
The 19-year-old believes music can change the society’s way of thinking.
“I am ready to change the negative mind which has been put upon Epworth.
“I feel I can be influential through my music and make other people believe that Epworth is place to be despite all these comments that it’s all criminals.
“I started singing when I was in grade 5 where I used to sing at assembly point at school.”
He added:
“I am currently staying in Overspill where I want to raise a good name for the location. I am also working with DJ Miles, Boss Kawara who is helping me with coming up with videos.
“I have since released different singles which are being played in the ghettos and its motivating to an extent that I feel I can make it in the industry.
“It’s just a matter of time before I am rated the best from Epworth,” he said.
To his credit, Q Shine has songs including, Ndamirira, Mhamha, Vhurai gonhi, Makapenga, life, Handifumire munzira, among others.
