Mhere’s 9th Album ready
MATHIAS Mhere will cement his bond with gospel music followers when he launches his ninth album this Sunday at Harare Gardens.
Titled Talitakumi, the album title inspired by the biblical story of the little girl who was ordered to wake up by Jesus when he went to Jairos’ home, will also be screened on Nash TV.
In an interview, Mhere said it was all systems go for the album launch that will certainly culminate into a family show.
“The album launch is almost ready and it will be unveiled at the Harare Gardens on the 13th of December.
“I will be supported Dorcas Moyo and Vatumwa vaMwari while Darlington Kangara will be the guest of honour,” he said.
In his quest for quality and variety, Mhere has gone full circle and collaborated with some of the top gospel artistes.
“In this album, I have done a number of collaborations with other artistes like Mudhara Bhosvo of ZCC Mbungo Stars who featured on the song Tsunga Moyo.
“I also done another collaboration with Killer T titled Wedding while Blessing Shumba featured on the song Driver Weupenyu.

“I also featured Chelsea Mguni on the song Zvipo Zvinosiyana.
“Other songs which makes the album complete comprise Zvemusha WaJob, Adam na Eva, Munhu Yeuka uri Huruva and Hupenyu HaRazara,” he added.
Besides Talitakumi, Mhere boasts of other eight polished albums namely Tinoda Nyasha, Anoita Minana, Nguva yeNyasha, Glory to Glory, Double Double, Old Testament, Panogara Nyasha and Greater than Solomon.
Mhere is also one of the few gospel artistes who have been consistent since he burst onto the music landscape eight years ago.
“I have been recording consistently since 2012 and I have been doing this to ensure that I don’t starve my fans of new stuff.
“I have my fans at heart and I will always do my best each to ensure that I cater for them,” he said.
