Jah Master, real name Rodney Mashandure, apologized to his fans for the incident and promised to compensate the victim of the attack who has since been identified as Bright Mudhachi or Brito. In a viral fan video, Jah Master gave Brito a flying kick for coming on stage during his performance in Alaska. Brito said his shoulder and hand were injured when he landed after being kicked off stage by Jah Master. Fortunately, the injuries were not of a serious nature.
Speaking to H-Metro after meeting Jah Master in Chinhoyi on Monday, Brito said he had forgiven the artist. He also revealed that the Zimdancehall artist had bought him some new clothes, groceries, and a cellphone.
I have reconciled with Jah Master after his team drove all the way to Chinhoyi to check on my condition and I am glad all went according to plan. The guys bought me some new clothes, groceries and right now they want to buy me a cellphone since they had difficulties to locate me when they came to Chinhoyi.
Brito added that the musician deserves a second chance since he had shown remorse for his actions. He said:
He played his part and he showed me remorse for his actions which is commendable. When I was assaulted, I never thought that they would come to see me like what they have just done.
He told the publication that he will continue listening to Jah Master’s music and that he will attend his shows whenever he performs in Chinhoyi. He, however, joked that he will not gatecrash the stage in the future saying:
I learnt a lesson. I won’t appear on stage uninvited in future, I now understand the consequences.
